Service users sitting under tree in park. This year Cedar’s Inclusion Works Learning Disability team ran two “Picnic in the Park” events. One took place at Lurgan Park and the other at Gosford Forest Park. Both were held in July when the sun was shining during our unexpected heatwave!

The team provided art supplies and the Service Users took the opportunity to be creative and producing some amazing pictures of the natural world around them.

It was brilliant to get groups as the restrictions in place over the last sixteen months eased. By all accounts, it was a great day out and we are looking forward to future activities.

Inclusion Works supports adults with disabilities to build employability skills and experience to be work-ready, then move into a paid job, college course or volunteering on leaving. It is person-centred, encouraging and supporting individuals to design their own programmes around their needs and aspirations, building confidence and independence.
