Our services Living Options Floating support Floating Support Older People 55+ Our Floating and Housing Support services provide individuals with various forms of assistance and support in their own homes or within their local area. This service is designed to help people, often those with specific needs or vulnerabilities, to maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and address challenges they may face. We provide person-focused ‘housing related support’ to individuals with disabilities. Our service helps individuals develop independent living skills, to maintain their tenancy, thereby preventing homelessness. We help empower individuals to become fully integrated into the community where they live. Support and activities include: Tenancy rights and responsibilities Budget / debt management Benefits entitlement check Home safety Access to local social / recreational and community facilities Household management skills Home adaptations and repairs Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, meal planning, independent shopping, and basic cooking skills Access to local medical and health facilities This service supports people over 55 across the Moyle and Coleraine, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards area. How do I Apply? The service can be accessed through referral from the following: Allied professionals from the Health and Social Care Trusts The Northern Ireland Housing Executive Housing Associations GP Practices other voluntary/community-based bodies Individuals needing ‘housing related’ support may also self-refer.
