ARROW is a service supporting people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) across the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. We provide practical support, develop social skills and connections in their community by attending our local community groups.

Support and activities include:

Welcoming everyone with ABI with acceptance and understanding
Developing friendships
Learning new skills like horticulture, arts, and crafts
Improving health and wellbeing
Promoting healthy and active lifestyles

How to become involved:

The ARROW Programme is available in the Southern HSCT for adults 18+ with an acquired brain injury. Application to the service is dependent upon written confirmation of an acquired brain injury.

Right 4 U - Adults

Right 4 U - Adults supports autistic adults to engage in their community. Inclusion means different things to different people; therefore, the individual will take the lead in identifying what they want to achieve from the service, and collectively we can work together to achieve identified goals. This is a specialist autism service.
ABI Connections

ABI Choices supports people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) to get active and take part in activities independently in their local communities. We support individuals to take part in social, leisure, recreational and training activities. This is a specialist brain injury service This is a specialist brain injury service.
Right Support Right Time

The project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Right Support Right Time is delivered by a partnership of seven trusted organisations. Inspire Wellbeing is the lead partner. Our service offers personalised, advocacy-based support to help individuals manage the challenges in their daily lives by supporting them to access the support when needed the most.
PEACE of Mind

The PEACE of Mind is a regional personal development programme delivered across a six-week period and is designed to enhance the emotional resilience and wellbeing of young people aged 9-25. Peace of Mind is supported by the PEACEPLUS Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
Belfast Adult Autism Advice Service

The BAAAS is for people aged 16 years and over who have a diagnosis of autism and for those who support them, who live in the Belfast Trust Area. The key aims are to, provide a safe and friendly place for you to speak to someone who understands autism and provide you with on-the-day information to access a range of appropriate services. This service is funded by Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a specialist autism service.
ABI Choices

We support adults with acquired brain injury across Northern Ireland to engage with their local community, participate in social enterprise and increase their personal capacity, health and wellbeing This is a specialist brain injury service.
Inclusion Matters

Support for people with disabilities, especially those who experience isolation, to build new social networks within their local communities. Focused on enabling user-led networking to help participants become involved in social, leisure and recreational opportunities within their local area. We offer goal-directed services that support participants to progress from the service when they have achieved their goals.

The Mews

The Mews is a Supported Living Service consisting of 12 single occupancy apartments based in West Belfast. The service cares for and supports individuals with learning disabilities, Autism and/or complex needs.
Our History

The Cedar Foundation was set up in 1941 as the Northern Ireland Council for Orthopaedic Development and, forover 75 years, we have grown from an organisation dedicated to a single condition to one that focuses on the needs of the individual, whatever their disability.
West Belfast

Cedar has worked in partnership with Choice Housing and Radius to provide supported living services within West Belfast Living Options. One of these services, ‘Mourneview Court’ is a new facility located at 151 Glen Road, Belfast. This facility comprises of 11 modern two bedroom apartments based on two tenants sharing. Assistive technology is available to promote independence and daily living.
