We recently welcomed a groups of students led by Dr. Janice Vance from Pittsburgh University as part of their course Inter-professional Studies in Health, Rehabilitation, and Education: Children with Disabilities.

This is the second year that we welcomed students from the university however, Since 2006, Dr. Vance has been offering University of Pittsburgh students the opportunity to participate in study abroad programs that stress the importance of inter-professional practice - within and across the fields of health, rehabilitation, and education.

The students participating in these opportunities come from various pre-professional undergraduate programs in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and other Majors throughout the university. We were delighted to have the students visit our Ravenhill office where we delivered presentations on Cedar and the various services that we provide for children and adults with disabilities.

Our presentations were co-delivered by our volunteers and some young service users and families. We thank our volunteers and service users for their valuable input. We wish the students all the best for their future studies! And we look forward to next year where we hope to welcome more students.
