Western and Northern Transitions teams held a Personal Development Program on Life & Employability Skills to support young people be prepared and confident about leaving school and explore entering the world of work. The young people took part in a Money Matters workshop with Ulster Bank. They were guided through saving, budgeting, discussing wants and needs, to how to think further ahead in relation to credit scores and what impacts their credit profile.

With the support of the NI Careers Service our young people attended workshops on: How to Write a CV and Interview Preparation – helping our young people with CV tips and hints and successful personal statements, identify skills they may not realise they have and allowing them to feel more prepared to apply for jobs and more confident in interviews.

NWRC Strand Road hosted our young people for a College Orientation day. Here we met with several of the support services, played team building games and were given a tour of the college – with many of our questions being answered throughout the day.

The last day of our PDP was an opportunity to socialise and have fun at Kaboodle Derry- were we played darts, shuffleboard and indoor crazy golf and had some lovely food.
