Our services Living Options Residential care Karuna celebrates 25 years in the community Residents, Cedar staff, and guests gathered at Karuna to celebrate 25 years in the community. Karuna was opened on the 6th December 1999. It provides residential care for adults who have learning disabilites and associated conditions. During the event residents read Christmas poems. A beautiful photo display and cake stands filled with festive treats really made the occassion special. Volunteer also Bernie shared a poem it with the guests. The event also gave the oppportunity for staff member Keri to be officially presented with her recently gained Star Award for . Heather Wright, Registered Manager, said: "This was an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and celebrate the continuation of Karuna as part of the Cedar Foundation. It was a lovely opportunity to reminisce and celebrate the history of Karuna while also looking forward to the future. The name Karuna means 'Caring with Compassion' which is very much at the heart of everything we as a staff team are focused on providing.
