Grainne Donnelly (Choice Housing) added: "We’re proud to see how our new homes at Lanthorn are transforming lives. The delight of our tenants reflects the quality, comfort, and pride that come with having a place to call home. This redevelopment has built more than houses - it has created a community. We’re grateful to our team and Partners for their hard work in making this vision a reality. Their efforts remind us every day why our work matters.' Paula Murray, Operations Manager for Commissioned Services for Learning Disability, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. added: "Thank you so much for inviting Belfast Trust Care Management to the official opening of Lanthorn Mews. It was so special for us to see around the refurbished building; Choice did a fantastic job. The tenants displayed such pride in showing us their new apartments and telling us all about their day time routines, where they do their shopping and how they spend their leisure and evening time .It was great to meet the Cedar support staff and to see and hear the lovely, respectful communication and healthy banter between them and the tenants. This is a great example of effective partnership working and it is a real pleasure to be part of this supported living scheme." Elaine Armstrong, CEO Cedar reflected: "The success of this service is reflected in the faces of the tenants who call Lanthorn ‘home’. It has been possible thanks to the collaborative efforts of our strategic partnership, demonstrating our shared motivation to address both housing and social care needs of disabled people. It was wonderful to engage with tenants directly as they co-hosted the launch and learn how they have become active community members, confidently pursuing their interests and developing their independence. The collective commitment of Cedar Foundation, Choice Housing, Supporting People, and the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust illustrates how working together creates the opportunity, choice, and inclusion Lanthorn offers for disabled people now and in the future.” You can find out further information about our Living Options services in the dedicated section of the website. .
