Celebrating Differences: Autism Acceptance Week 2025 We are delighted to officially kick off our week-long showcase for Autism Acceptance Week 2025, running from Monday 31st March to Sunday 6th April 2025. At Cedar, we are proud to support almost 500 autistic individuals to connect, work and learn and live the lives they choose. This year, our theme is “Celebrating Differences”, and throughout the week, we will highlight the unique experiences of autistic individuals and provide a platform to celebrate their achievements. Each day we will share a new focus into these successes through the lens of education, transitions, employment, and inclusion offering a glimpse into the remarkable journeys of those we support. "Autism Acceptance Week is a time to celebrate the individuality, talents, and achievements of autistic people. This year’s theme, ‘Celebrating Differences,’ reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive society where everyone is valued and empowered. We invite you to join us in recognising the creativity, and contributions of autistic individuals throughout this special week” Clair Whiteside Head of Community Inclusion, Cedar. To further embrace and celebrate individuality, we are launching an online gallery on Saturday 5th April 2025 showcasing the creativity and talents of autistic individuals. Additionally, service users from our services in the Western have their artwork displayed at various venues across Northern Ireland, offering a platform to share diverse perspectives. This week also marks special service milestones as we celebrate the achievements of our Right4U services in Western HSCT and Belfast HSCT a reflection of the dedication and impact of our work. As we come together to share stories and celebrate differences, we invite everyone to be part of this journey. Because acceptance isn’t just about awareness it’s about embracing, uplifting, and celebrating every individual, exactly as they are.
