Yesterday we held an online celebration event to thank our volunteers and to receive our award for Investing in Volunteers which is the UK Standard for Best Practice in Volunteer Management. Denise Hayward, Chief Executive Officer, Volunteer Now presented Kieran Molloy, Head of Employability & Inclusion Services with the award.

“Volunteers have been supporting Cedar’s work since the organisation was founded. Cedar has always recognised that our people are our best asset and we are delighted to receive   ongoing recognition as an Investing in Volunteering organisation ”, Kieran Molloy.

The Investing in Volunteers Standard offers a quality framework that is closely aligned to Cedar’scommitment to excellence and quality assurance and provides a structure for a management system based on commitment, recognition and value-based practices.

Within the Cedar Foundation, our Volunteers are the wheels that help keep our organisation keep going and we are stronger with their support. As our Volunteers are so valuable to us, it is important that we look after them, support them and reward them for their hard work and dedication to our service users. We are thrilled to be awarded the Investing in Volunteers UK Standard that recognises our good practice in volunteer management.

Cedar has also been fortunate to have Volunteer Now support our journey with Investing in Volunteers
and their support and guidance has been very much appreciated.

We would like to celebrate the work of our volunteers with a short video and a thank you from our Chief Executive Stephen Mathews.

Thank you, Volunteers
