Dr Bernadette Best is a Lecturer in Management and Adviser of Studies with the Queens Management School, Queens University, Belfast. Bernadette has over 22 years senior management experience working in Voluntary Sector Organisations and she has managed of a number of successful European transnational programmes. She has a PhD and an MSc in Executive Leadership from Ulster University, and an MSSc in Organisation and Manpower Studies from Queens University, Belfast.

Bernadette’s competencies span strategy development, procurement and income generation, quality standards, service design, business developments, and research and evaluation. 

She is a former Manager of The Cedar Foundation where she developed training services for people with disabilities and traumatic brain injuries within the Northern Board area. Bernadette has an interest in research in value co-creation, social innovation and service quality in social purpose organisations.

She has disseminated her research to wide ranging academic and practitioner audiences at international conferences and published research in leading academic journals.
