Participants from our Southern Inclusion Works Learning Disability programme had a WILD time on their first summer social trip to C&J Animal Park in Portadown. Everyone enjoyed the varied mix of animals from parakeets to pigs and geckos to goats.

There was even a chance to get up close and personal in the reptile house where a few faced their fears and handled some rather unusual animals. The morning was rounded off with an outdoor picnic and one final attempt at getting the Parrot to talk. We look forward to visiting C&J Animal Park again and we would like to say a big thank-you for the experience on the day.

Inclusion Works supports adults with disabilities to build employability skills and experience to be work ready, then move into a paid job, college course or volunteering on leaving. It is person-centred, encouraging and supporting individuals to design their own programmes around their needs and aspirations, building confidence and independence.
